Dreams

Y’all i have such dreams. So many dreams i cant even begin to write them down. Of course I pray about them and commit them to God but ya know what? Sometimes I let those dreams take over …. well me.

I had dreams of being a fitness influencer.

I had dreams to be skinny.

I had dreams to be the perfect wife.

I have dreams to be a famous writer.

shoo….i have dreams to be famous period.

But then God – in His great mercy – keeps that from me.

Why?

Cause I know I cant handle that. But I know that one day – in whatever time God deems right – someone will be impacted by what i have done and give Him all the glory.

Thats the purpose our lives right?

Do what God has called you to do. Run your business….witness to a neighbor…..start a blog…whatever He has put in your heart. Do it for God. Dont look for glory for yourself but for God. yall I’m literally saying this more to me than anything.

He has put a desire in our hearts and as long as we are biblical? He will bless us for it – doesn’t mean that we’ll get the attention we seek/desire.

But my friend i’ll tell ya? thats so much better. Give God the glory – do that thing that you do to bless God. Just don’t look for others to give you that …. confirmation or validation or glory.

But just know God sees what you are doing to glorify His name and? Again, He will bless you for it. In His time.

²³ And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, ²⁴ knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for^[a] you serve the Lord Christ.
