you ever notice how busy you are? No I’m being serious. You ever sit there and think: “let me go read the bible” and get sidetracked by 50 million things? Or think about starting a devotional and get side tracked by all the house work that needs to be done? Or think “let me listen to that christian song” and you end up listening to 90’s music instead? Getting my drift?

Let me tell you something people – there will be 100000000000000 things that will come between you and the Lord. And thats factual (ok not really but you get what i’m trying to say).

I have lost count how many times i go to start my devotional and my kids come to interrupt. Sooo many times I have started writing a post and spend waaaayyyy too much time on some sort of social media. And why do you think that is?

Friend, it is the enemy. He will do whatever it takes to come between you and Jesus. Everything will happen from a distracted mind to kids screaming to your boss walking in to the room. Everything. He doesn’t want you to spend that time with God – why? Cause the more time you spend with God? The more you realize – how truly powerful God is and how weak the enemy is.

Cause my friend you will realize – you are a child of God. That there is a war going on for your mind and heart – as well the everyone in the worlds mind and heart. You will realize how much more – you need to share the gospel.

You will share the awesomeness of God .. the more you yourself comes to know it.

I cannot tell you friend how many times i have just wanted to give in and have a good tv binge – ignoring the Lord pulling at my heart to draw closer to him.

We need to fight. Fight ourselves and our complacency and fight for our relationship with God. Cause there is nothing more important.

⁵⁸ Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
