God I’m a wreck tho

y’all….I am such a wreck. Please and I cannot emphasize this enough. Please do not think otherwise. God I’m such a wreck. I am such a mess.

I yell when I drive.

I yell period.

I snap at my husband.

I snap at my kids.

I get jealous.

And on and on – we really shouldnt go over my faults. We would be here til the end of time.

But i bring this up because theres a trend that i’m seeing that we need to remember. People who talk about God? People who teach…preach…minister? They are just as much a mess as me and you.

They dont know the bible anymore than you would if you did the same research.

Why do I say this? Same reason Paul told the Corinthians (see 1 Corinthians 1)- those people are not God (my words). They are just spreading the gospel. So? Don’t take their words as law. They are human.

We are all human.

Obviously some have the gift of teaching – but we are all the same. God is the only one who is perfect and therefore the only one who can teach you. So? read your bible.

People without a doubt fail you. They’re human – facts of life.

God didnt mean for us to look at one pastor or another as law. He gave those people gifts to share with us the gospel – the encouragement of the christian life….but what they say? Is not the law.

I know I said this before – but again take a look at the Bereans. See how they went to the bible after Paul taught them? Thats what we should be doing every time we hear the bible. See for ourselves.

God wants to talk to us – yes he will use anyway possible. Yes. But mainly? He wants to talk to you through his words. The bible. Check it out.
