Seriously

God knows my heart and growing love for those who don’t believe like me but seriously folks. Seriously tell me where it says in the Bible – politics have a matter on my belief in Jesus Christ dying on the cross for me.

Seriously tell me where it says my vaccine status has anything to do with how much I trust God.

Seriously tell me where it says I need to fight other Christians about how wrong they are in their doctrine.

Seriously tell me where it says a Christian – who is biblically sound needs to believe the same as other Christians.

Seriously, tell me where it says to ostracize and demonize people who believe differently than me.

Seriously.

I’ll tell you what I do know.

I’ll tell you that Jesus called us to love those who are different than us.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

Matthew 5:43-44

God called us to submit to authority

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will [a]bring judgment on themselves.

Romans 13:1-2

God has called us to love each other as they are our brother/sister in Christ:

20 If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, [d]how can he love God whom he has not seen? 21 And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.

1 John 4:20-21

Yes. We are to judge BUT that judgement means to judge a persons character as to whether or not they are Christ-like – as to whether or not they are a good influence. God does not call us to condemn.

Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things.

Romans 2:1-2

We are the church and in a lot of cases? The only church that people see. We need to be exactly like Christ. He sat with the sinners yes, but He didn’t act like them (see Matthew 9, Mark 2). He stood out cause of His love and acceptance.

No. He didn’t accept their sin. But He didn’t ostracize them. He preached the truth but also showed the truth.

17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:17

There is so much hate going on in the church. So much…..divisiveness? Is that the word? Theres so much division in the church that we have literally lost sight of what matters.

Showing God’s love to a fallen world. Preaching the truth instead of our convictions. You have convictions great! Praise the Lord – thats not what God has called you to talk about.

15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

Mark 16:15

My brothers and sisters – PLEASE remember what truly matters.
