Being weird

I actually hate that word: “weird”. I don’t use it as a bad word in this house – but I do discourage the kids from using it. And? They are using different words to describe someone. I want the kids to understand that being weird applies to ….. animals or something like that. Not people.

my whole life i was ostracized and called the weird one and I know how much that hurt. I have heard kids call my kids that, i see the look on their faces. I’m looking to make a change. Albeit a small change – a change is still a change.

Then my daughter was listening to her bible class when her teacher said this.

Do you know people are weird and unique? Because they have their own personalities and habits – thats why you cant call people weird.

Mrs. Amsbaugh, Abeka

I’m glad i’m not the only one trying to make that change.

And I challenge y’all to make a small change. Change your life and those around you for the better. Dont expect monumental changes but expect a change in one persons life.

Believe me – I speak from great experience – just one kind word?

Can save a persons life.

29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary [a]edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.
