I was previously listening to several books that took 2 extreme forms of what a godly woman should be. And it’s giving me something to talk about…wait. Think about. Sorry … brain fog.

One book was talking about how we have great power as a woman. How God made us a for a special purpose … we can change the world .. and so on.
The other book talked about how as woman we need to be meek and milks mannered and hide in our husbands shadow – that God made us to be servants … slaves.
My thoughts? I don’t necessarily agree with either. My thoughts:
What about the proverbs 31 woman?
What about Esther? who stood up to her husband to save her people. See Esther.
No wait .. what about Abigail? who not only defied her husband but stood up to King David. see 1 Sam 25.
What about the Shunamite woman? She didn’t even talk to her husband when she asked Elijah to heal her son. See 2 King 4.
And yet what about Ruth? She humbled herself greatly and worked her butt off for her mother-in-law after her husband died? See Ruth.
What about Mary? She humbled herself and lived a godly life.
I could definitely go on – but those women weren’t exactly the fit for these books. Those books only took what they wanted to make their point.
To sum up? The Bible is the only truth you need to rely on – when wondering how to live a godly life.
Again – I’m gonna say it til I’m blue in the face … read your Bible.
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
